Probation Violation
If you are alleged to have violated your probation, community control, or some other form of supervision after conviction, your supervising "probation" officer may petition the Court for a violation of probation against you and authorize the issuance of a warrant for your arrest.
If you’re found to have violated your probation or community control, the prosecutor may request:
- that additional conditions of probation be imposed
- that the probation period be extended
- or that a period of incarceration be ordered, followed by a return to probation.
- felony sentencing has severe consequences for violation of community contro...especially the commission of a new offense.
When you’ve been charged with a probation violation, it’s important to consult with a criminal defense attorney immediately.
Robert M. Dumes is an experienced criminal defense attorney who will work to understand the nature of your probation and alleged violation.
